The author of the majority of the texts is Wanda B-D, code named "Iza-Modrzew", born in 1923 in Wilno (Vilna). She was a soldier of the Home Army, fought in the Warsaw Rising and was a prisoner at Auschwitz concentration camp.
Her main interest is in the Wilno (Vilna) and Nowogródek (Novogrudok) Home Army districts and in preserving for posterity many of their personalities.
